Meet Our Team
Matt is founder and director of Go Global Catering. He steers the general business and has a ‘hands on’ approach. Matt likes anything to do with trucks and enjoys tramping the roads of Europe. He is equally happy to get his chef whites on when the chefs allow him in the kitchen. The winter sees him in the yard, plumbing and wiring new kitchens and taking things apart (and putting them back together).
Luis is the general operations manager and responsible for the efficient running of the two Go Global depots in the UK and our satellite operation in France. Luis knows where everything is and spends his winter fixing equipment, building new kitchens and tending to the fleet of trailers. During events he has his whites on and is responsible for a lot of the ‘pretty’ stuff on our buffets.
With years of experience in large scale, high end events, producing a meal for 1000 people is child’s play to Andy. An expert in catering logistics, Andy spearheads the Go Global kitchen team and his brigade of experienced chefs. Running an informal internal agency ensures we have a supply of skilled people ready for deployment worldwide.
Allan looks after the compliance and HR side of Go Global Catering. He has worked alongside Matt as a chef since the early years of business and still comes out on the occasional event. Allan loves working through the red tape and paperwork associated with producing catering events, ensuring the company operates efficiently and compliantly.
Keeley looks after the UK operations of Go Global Catering and can build a team to ensure your latest project is a success. You may have seen her in our national race paddocks, where she looks after the welfare of many British race teams. Keeley is also a serial entrepreneur who is always looking out for new avenues for Go Global to explore.
Mike is Matt’s dad and has supported Go Global Catering from the start. A retired RAF officer, he looks after the company banking and ensures suppliers and staff are paid on time. He is the also the company admin ‘fall guy’ – an expert in telephone queuing as he looks after the company tax and banking queries.
Jamie is responsible for fulfilling the fabrication and design needs of Go Global Catering. He translates our ideas into 3D CAD images. Jamie has vast experience in vehicle body building and working with Matt creates the kitchens seen at events around the world. By designing, building and operating our own kitchens, we maximise our capabilities and efficiency.
Adele faces the challenge of handling the company’s paperwork mountain and is an expert in processing the reams of foreign receipts from our far-away events. She chases paperwork from events to make sure our customers are charged fairly – many of our long-term clients operate on an ‘open book’ basis, which gives them great value for money and control over event costs.
Jayne looks after the credit control and invoice processing for Go Global Catering. She takes care of payment reminders, sends out monthly statements to our regular customers and deals with invoicing queries.
There are many other people that make up the Go Global team – including international freight forwarders, ferry brokers, gas testers, electrical testers and HGV mechanics, as well as our international list of butchers, bakers and wholesalers. We all play our part in creating one of the most capable catering companies on the planet.
